How I Can Help You

I specialise in supporting you with your cycles of anxiety, low self-esteem and emotional overwhelm.

I will support you with:

  • Generalised anxiety & excessive worry
  • Social anxiety
  • Panic & physical symptoms of anxiety
  • Low self-esteem and harsh self-criticism
  • Perfectionism and high personal standards
  • School-based anxiety and emotionally based school avoidance
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Emotional regulation difficulties
  • Trauma-related difficulties and PTSD
  • OCD (including intrusive thoughts and compulsions)

Additionally, I bring extensive experience in supporting young people in education settings, including those struggling with attendance, confidence, peer relationships, and anxiety linked to school environments.

My Approach

CBT with an integrated, compassionate focus.

My core therapeutic model is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an evidence based approach recommended by NICE. CBT helps you understand how your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations and behaviours interact - and most importantly, how to change unhelpful patterns.

Alongside CBT, I also integrate approaches such as:

  • Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
  • Elements of Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Trauma-Informed Practice
  • Emotion-Focused Strategies
  • Adapted CBT for Neurodivergent Clients (including Autism & ADHD)

All of this mean therapy is never rigid or "textbook". It is collaborative, tailored and responsive to you.

If self-criticism is loud, we work on building self-compassion.

If anxiety drives avoidance, we build confidence gradually and safely.

If emotions feel overwhelming, we develop regulation and grounding skills.

If trauma has shaped your beliefs about yourself, we gently explore and reprocess these patterns.

My Specialisms

Anxiety, Emotions & Self-Esteem.

Whilst I work with a broad range of difficulties, my particular passion is helping people who:

  • Feel trapped by anxiety
  • Struggle with emotional regulation
  • Base their worth on performance or approval
  • Feel they are "too much" or "not enough"
  • Appear capable on the outside but feel fragile internally

I have worked across CAMHS, primary care, charity settings and education, supporting both adults and young people. I understand how anxiety and low self-worth can shape identity, relationships and life choices - and how powerful it can be to begin changing that narrative.

Therapy with me is structured but warm, goal-focused yet compassionate. We work at your pace, with clarity about the goals we are working towards.
